New Age Diet - Disasters.

Everyone seems to be in the mood to experiment with their food habits & they are changing at will, they are eating less & many are starving themselves to be extremely thin either thinking it is healthy OR for fashion - thin is in !!.

It is surprising so many people have got into their mind that even a little bit of belly fat will give them Diabetes, High BP, etc.. or what ever !, when our ancestors never faced any such issues, many lived till 90+ yrs despite huge tummies !!

People are moving in huge nos to so called healthy foods - No Rice, Only Veggies & a lot of fruits, No Whites, More Wheat etc.. Many have moved to Brown rice thinking our ancestors were eating brown rice & we recently switched to white rice. NO - Brown rice was NEVER used in the past because you cannot store Brown rice, it will go rancid in a few days. So our ancestors ate only white rice because they stored white rice for years due to famine !!!

Similarly, lot of negative news sorrounds Coffee, many articles saying it is bad, however some recent study have pointed to positive effects like - Coffee cuts diabetes risk by 70%, Stroke risk by 40%, heart risk by 40% etc..

Many have stopped taking sugar in coffee thinking it is bad, however if you ask a doctor, he/she will always advise take 6 meals a day instead of 3 so that the sugar levels in the body can be at consistent levels. Our ancestors were taking regular coffee every 2+ hrs with a spoon of sugar !!.

Our ancestors were NOT dumb, they changed our diet continously to ensure longetivity !!!. Living long & healthy was the main goal in the ancient past, so these diets have gone through the rigor for generations !!

I dont believe fruits are healthy since none of the races were eating fruits in the past except on occasions. !! I know this is surprising or shocking because everyone has just assumed it is very healthy etc.., but where is the proof that fruits are actually healthy for us if we eat daily for decades ?

None of these new age diets are tested for generations obviously to tell us if these are safe diets that we can consume in our daily life. Many are ending up with health disasters.

So it is dangerous to change our food diets unless advised by a doctor & in the absence of any large scale test results, it is better to continue "our" ancestors diet.

Changes in diet can lead to drastic consequences - look at the Japanese, they reduced rice significantly leading to dramatic increase in cancer rates (they wanted to avoid diabetes!!) - recent study was published in major news papers. so you never know what other disasters will a new diet lead to !

Our ancestors diet is the tried & tested one - because our ancestors cutting across most races lived for a long time (many 80+) without any health problems. They only died due to war, famine, diseases (malaria, TB, Plague etc..), & anyone who escaped this, lived for a very long time.

Also it is not wise to switch to other race diets like the mediterranean diet because our genes are not used to it, so it is better to stick to what our grand parents, ancestors ate whether it is a Vegetarian diet, or a Non Vegetarian diet.

Not eating well is a bigger disaster as the body is starved of vital energy, vitamins, minerals & it starts weaking from inside. It will make the bones brittle, weaken the muscles & simple fall can lead to fractures !!. The vital organs will also not have enough food to work well to eliminate all the waste from the body apart from slowing down the body metabolism !!

so one has to eat very well to ensure they are healthy & strong & fit !! Reducing weight should be through work outs NOT by diet unless advised by a doctor !!

of course we should heed to the many studies on lifestyle issues, so one should be very active, walk as much as possible, do regular workouts, yoga etc..

So we should try & beat diabetes, High BP etc.. by moving into a active lifestyle than by changing our diets or eating less !!

And most importantly, our ancestors socialized a lot more than any of us. Many were joint families, with strong set of relatives & friends. They spend many hours every evening talking, chatting & sharing their problems. To me that is the single most key reason, they all lived long irrespective of what diet they had, what job they did, what pressures they went through.

Also our ancestors went through far higher pressure than us, because most struggled for basic survival without food & money cutting across all races !!

Jesse Ryder came back from a savage beating because he eats like an OX, built like an OX !!! Imagine this guy went into a Coma due to Skull fracture & punctured lung, he was discharged home in less than a week !!

so lot more to life than listening to some silly diet advise from all & sundry !!
