Description
Tyagaraja keertanaśāntamu lēka saukhyamu lēdu
sārasa daḷa nayana
dāntunikaina vēdāntunikaina (śā)
1. dāra sutulu dhana dhānyamuluṇḍina
sāreku japa tapa sampada kalgina (śā)
2. rājādhi rāja śrī rāghava tyāga-
rāja vinuta sādhu rakṣaka tanak1upa(śāntamu)
Without tranquility of mind,there is no comfort, O Lotus petal Eyed!
Be he an ascetic or be he an adherer of Vedanta, without tranquility of mind, there is no comfort.
1. Even if one has wife, children, wealth and food items, even if one attains wealth of ever chanting of names of Lord and asceticism, without tranquility of mind, there is no comfort.
2. Even if one is erudite in all the Agama Sastras, even if one knows well all their true purport (significance), without tranquility of mind, there is no comfort.
3. Even if one performs all sorts of Vedic actions of sacrifical oblations etc, even if has reputation as a great devotee of the Lord, without tranquility of mind, there is no comfort.
4. O Overlord of Kings, Sri Raghava! O Lord praised by this Thyagaraja! O Protector of the pious people! without attaining quietitude of one's mind, there is no comfort.

really very good. a small pronouncing error instead of dhana dhanya it was recited as dana danya which has different meaning. otherwise really excellent keerthana. k.s.
