Rethink reservation

Reservations are meant to uplift the downtrodden and sort of mete out social justice. But are they really serving the purpose and are the objectives justified?. I think the poor will get really uplifted when India moves forward and not remain backward. But unfortunately India is not living up to its potential and make the necessary strides soon enough.

I think it is time to seriously reevaluate reservation systems. Countries all over the world are preparing themselves for the competitive world and taking necessary efforts in that regard and trying to put up their best. The world is at crossroads now especially with technology about to decide which country moves forward and which are left out.

Poor indeed should be uplifted but not by making them work for the country when they are unprepared but by country working for them making them prepared and uplifting them. In a family the most capable or prepared should work to lift it economically. Then he can support and make the rest and move the family up much better instead of the other way round.

The backward should move forward but that can't be really achieved in comparison with other countries if the country is left behind and stays backward.
