My guess is that the 2 year ban on CSK has no legal standing...With Shashank Manohar & his syndicate now edged out may be the reins of Indian cricket administration will be back in the hands of either Pawar or Srinivasan!

Swamy moves Supreme Court on CSK ban, contends Madras HC wrongly rejected his claim

A Committee headed by Justice RM Lodha had banned Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) on 14 July, 2015 following the IPL spot-fixing scandal back in 2013.

This decision was challenged in the Madras High Court by CSK Limited, which rejected it saying that it was not maintainable. The first bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice TS Sivagnanam also dismissed the petition filed by BJP leader Subramanium Swamy on the same grounds.

Swamy has moved the Supreme Court, challenging the decision of the Madras High Court. Swamy’s stand was that the High Court wrongly rejected his claim. The Supreme Court has agreed to look into this. Below is the graphic showing the news clip, courtesy Press Trust of India (PTI).

PIL by Cricket Association of Bihar

Swamy also requested the Supreme Court bench comprising justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud to have the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) look into the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by the Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB) against N Srinivasan. PGurus has covered this extensively as leaked emails show that the PIL were financed by Lalit Modi.

With Shashank Manohar’s unexpected resignation on Tuesday, May 10th, 2016, the murky world of cricket syndicate has started shivering. Is it a pre-emptive move? Was it that his secret understanding with the absconding Lalit Modi via emails was going to be scrutinised by the Supreme Court in Subramanian Swamy’s petition? The Apex Court is going to hear Swamy’s petition along with the ongoing BCCI cases and Lalit Modi’s leaked emails attached in his petition reveal how Lalit Modi and Sharad Pawar’s man Shashank Manohar fooled the Courts by abusing the law by filing a Public Interest Litigation(PIL).
