In 25 years of liberalisation, how well did India do?

India has made spectacular progress...But lot more needs to be done to life the 259 million people (2011 estimates) who are below the poverty line (Income less than $ 1.9 per day)...Also with 2 consecutive droughts and crop failure many more who were uplifted would have fallen back to the poverty lap...The comparison with low-middle
income countries is very apt
