HTC isn’t exactly thriving in the smartphone market, with its smartphone business being valued less than the money that it brings into HTC’s coffers. And the thing is, phone make a large part of HTC’s revenue, so if its phones don’t sell well, HTC would be in real trouble.
This is why HTC is trying to diversify its revenue sources, and earlier this year, showed the HTC Vive, its first Virtual Reality headset. It also announced the Grip wearable in a partnership with Under Armor.
Now, the Grip hasn’t been unveiled or released, but now HTC is saying (To Phandroid) that its products are just delayed and that a new ecosystem would be launched in a partnership with Under Armor next year.
What do you think? Can HTC gets its mojo back?
