I think "atheism" has nothing to do with castes. Caste is determined at birth itself, and the caste system is independent of whether one believes in a particular god like krishna, and by the same argument, atheists cannot disown caste.

In the final reckoning caste is more powerful than even god!

The above line came as a sort of dialog in a Tamil famil that was about Caste Supremacy .I do not know the name of the film but Anand Raj who was the Villian in that film and a die hard Casteist Head of a Village spoke on similar line i.e God may or may not be there but Caste is for real and we have to accept it .
