'போருக்குத் தயாராகுங்கள்...!' - இந்திய ராணுவ தளபதி திடீர் அழைப்பு!
புதுடெல்லி: இந்திய எல்லைப் பகுதியில் நாட்டின் பாதுகாப்புக்கான சவால்கள் அதிகரித்து வரும் நிலையில், குறுகியகாலப் போர்களுக்கு வீரர்கள் தயாராக வேண்டும் என்று ராணுவத் தளபதி தல்பீர் சிங் கூறியுள்ளது பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தி உள்ளது.
கடந்த 1956 ல் நடந்த இந்திய-பாகிஸ்தான் போரில் உயிர் நீத்த வீரர்களுக்கு மரியாதை செலுத்தும் நிகழ்ச்சி டெல்லியில் நடந்தது.
பின்னர் மூத்த ராணுவ வீரர்கள் கலந்துகொண்ட கருத்தரங்கில் ராணுவ தளபதி தல்பீர் சிங் பேசும்போது, "எதிர்காலத்தில் எந்த விதமான எச்சரிக்கையுமின்றி குறுகிய காலப் போர் ஏற்படும் வகையான சூழல் தெரிகிறது. இதற்காக நாம் எந்த நேரத்திலும் விழிப்புடன் தயார் நிலையில் இருக்க வேண்டியது அவசியம். தற்போதைய நிலையில் இதுவே நமது யுக்தி.

Speaking at the Tri Service Seminar on the 1965 Indo Pak War, Chief of Army StaffDalbir Singh on Tuesday said that themilitary needs to be ready for short warsas the borders are live with frequent ceasefire violations and infiltration bids by Pakistan.
We are acutely aware that the swift short nature of future wars is likely to offer limited warning time. This calls for maintaining very high level of operational preparedness at all times, it's something that has now become important in our strategy, the Army General said here.
