This News item in The Hindu makes me wonder if there is any difference between eagle and Vulture?

When I saw this war - spy - adventure movies of 60s,it made a great impact regarding eagles on me. Even in later movie Mackenna's Gold. the title song had beautifully flying / gliding Eagle . Even today MRF advertisement carries an eagle all suggesting Eagle can tread and conquer highly hostile terrain!

Mythology - talks about Jatayu Garuda are they inspired by Eagle or Kazuku?

Purely from the scientific POV.

Vultures rarely attack healthy animals, but may kill the wounded or sick. When a carcass has too thick a hide for its beak to open, it waits for a larger scavenger to eat first.
[SUP]][/SUP] Vast numbers have been seen upon battlefields. They gorge themselves when prey is abundant, until their crop bulges, and sit, sleepy or half torpid, to digest their food. These birds do not carry food to their young in their claws, but disgorge it from the crop.

Eagle is a common name for many large birds of prey of the family; it belongs to several groups of that are not necessarily closely related to each otherEagles are large, powerfully built birds of prey, with a heavy head and beak. Even the smallest eagles, like the booted eagle (Aquila pennata) (which is comparable in size to a common buzzard (Buteo buteo) or red-tailed hawk (B. jamaicensis)), have relatively longer and more evenly broad wings, and more direct, faster flight – despite the reduced size of aerodynamic feathers. Most eagles are larger than any other raptors apart from some vultures. The smallest species of eagle is the South Nicobar serpent eagle (Spilornis klossi), at 450 g (0.99 lb) and 40 cm (16 in). The largest species are discussed below. Like all birds of prey, eagles have very large hooked beaksfor tearing flesh from their prey, strong muscular legs, and powerful talons. The beak is typically heavier than that of most other birds of prey. Eagles' eyes are extremely powerful, having up to 3.6 times human acuity for themartial eagle, which enables them to spot potential prey from a very long distance.[SUP][2][/SUP] This keen eyesight is primarily attributed to their extremely large pupils which ensure minimal diffraction (scattering) of the incoming light. The female of all known species of eagles is larger than the male..

If you mean
[h=3]"Eagles" or "Vultures" in Matthew 24:28 and Luke 17:37?[/h]I know nothing about it.
