It's a labyrinth of everyday sufferings for people in this poorly provided area

If there is one place in the city where hygiene has slumped to the abyss, it is Pulakeshinagar Assembly Constituency and the BBMP wards under its limits. Cleanliness is a luxury in a majority of the localities here and the absolute lack of civic infrastructure in several areas violates fundamental human rights.

Perhaps, the worse hit are DJ Halli and surrounding areas. Heaps of garbage greet the public in every corner of the street. In some cases, the garbage piles up right at the door step of houses. In Ashoknagar (Kushalnagar ward), for the past fortnight residents have had no access to drinking water. “When it rains, the drinking water gets mixed with sewage water.

The road near Pillanna Grden (1 Phase, 12 Cross, 4 Main, Tannery Road), is notorious for accidents occuring almost on a daily basis.

even in delhi, mCD workers went on a strike for more than 10 days in june leading to huge garbage pile up all over the city. They were protesting non payment of salaries.

In whole of delhi there were garbage piles every where.

after the strike was called off , it took about a week to clear the mess.

political leaders of AAP and BJP had photo op clearing garbage with shovels. Delhi got its share of amusement.

How do we penalize the sanitary staff who are derelict .....They do not perform their duties and obligations...The labor union is behind them..The sufferer is the common man
