If there is one place in the city where hygiene has slumped to the abyss, it is Pulakeshinagar Assembly Constituency and the BBMP wards under its limits. Cleanliness is a luxury in a majority of the localities here and the absolute lack of civic infrastructure in several areas violates fundamental human rights.
Perhaps, the worse hit are DJ Halli and surrounding areas. Heaps of garbage greet the public in every corner of the street. In some cases, the garbage piles up right at the door step of houses.
