yes, but the larger issues have been ignored.. will this cause a backlash on brahmins? Last thing Brahmins want is a backlash..

This is started by a Christian...He may want a MLA or MP seat in a national party...There is not going to be any overt or covert support to him..So why bother?

tamil sub nationalism is losing its appeal. now most do not mind tying up with BJP,a national party since they know BJP is close to power. some fringe tamil parties will definitely go with them to get a seat in loksabha

No political party is going to be bothered about it, since Brahmin population in Tamil Nadu is not more than 3%. It will not make any impact even in a single constituency.

Indian media is known to often use catchy and sometimes provocative titles that may not truly reflect what is contained in the news item.

Paul kanagaraj, the convenor of the party, has only talked about not discriminating against the Brahmins. That is mentioned in one line along with a bunch of other stuff.

His party line if they are true to the news item is that it is not going to be as antibrahmin as the dravidianist parties. That is all.

An excerpt from the news item:

"Asked whether it would contest in the coming Lok Sabha elections, Kanagaraj said a decision in that regard would be taken next week after consulting the other office-bearers of the party."

What is a party when it has not yet decided to contest elections! Has paul not intended the party to be political? What is the agenda? Would paul clearly spell out the agenda?

I dont get it..why do we have to be Pro anything?

Just be fair and square to all and nothing else should matter.

Being Pro something is just the same as being Anti something..both sprout from Pride and Prejudice.

these parties have a single agenda. loksabha seat with the help of winning national party. they claim to represent some caste ,religion group or the other. some might win also

brahmin can tie up and tactically vote with sc/st groups with 20percent vote share and get a seat or two with their help in brahmin pockets with higher brahmin vote.of 6to7 percent. it happens in north india. mayawathi has incorporated brahmins in her party.

Whatever the caste arithmetic, I hope Modi stays where he belongs, Gujarat. He is bankrolled by the corrupt Ambanis and Adanis which is a national shame.

Rahul Gandhi will win with a narrow majority..this is what I feel.

Well lets wait and see.

rahul is playing the brahmin card in UP. congress is projecting that BJP as anti brahmin preferring modi for varanasi a brahmin stronghold sidelining MMJoshi. also holds him responsible for haren pandya murder in gujarat.modi also proposed that amartya sens nobel be withdrawn due to his comments which were anti indian according to him. Politics is getting dirty in UP. this is make or break for modi in UP.already there are three major playeres SP,BSP and BJP.congress and AAP are spoilers. anything can happen . without 30 seats in UP bjp cannot cross 180 seats

Dear Renukaji,

Did you see the political exchange...Modi is leading all across the political spectrum...He will steamroll...That he could mobilize the OBC's besides the hard core Hindutva supporters is his strongest point....

Indian Politics is dependent on per centage of population. Bs cannot do anything in TN. Even with nearly 20% vote share, SCs/STs are cleverly sidelined by K and J. Bs in TN, like Marwaris and Jains, must concentrate on education and business for healthy survival.
