Father's Day is on Sunday, June 17, 2012. Hope someone will post some real good videos/messages for fathers on that day!

My Mother's day prayer is: Give us all those qualities which only a mother can have and is supposed to have.

I feel sometimes Mother's day is highly overrated.It just some commercial ploy.And the whole display of emotions and sentiment makes one feel uneasy.
I always wondered how can some people just display emotions on one day and be back to their normal selves the next day.

I used to find it nauseating sometimes to see some fake display of emotions by some adults I know.
They will smother their mum with cakes,gifts and expensive dinners on Mother's day and the whole year round do not even give them the due respect or even listen to them.
Seen this many times.


I like what my son told me..he was going to click send and email a newspaper editorial about Mother's day but my mum saw what he wrote and told him not to send it.

My son had written that "without man there will be no mothers and without mothers there will be no man, so we need both in the world not just mother or father.
Better have a Parents day to be fair to both"

I understand your sentiment, but not everyone is like you.
So at least on one day they make extra effort to celebrate the mother or father is appreciated. Some times parents are so hungry for love that even this commercialized version is better than nothing.

I agree, any day is my mother's day for me. What other great thing I could do now for my mother than remembering her for ever. I would add one more line to my earlier post #3/13.5.2012.

Undying love for mother..The movie Mannan is aired here in M'sia every year for Mother's day ever since the movie was produced.

I can see all men sort of get sentimental when this song plays.Actually I have realized that men are more sentimental about relationships than women.Technically men are the weaker sex.
Women might just shout and cry more but inside sentiments don't really moves us as much as it moves men.

To me some how I feel Norman Bates had Undying Love for his mother.
So who is your choice?? Rajini or Norman Bates.

This year it was really funny..cos one day before Mother's day some Tamil movie about a psychopathic killer who kills women who cheat their husband was shown.
I cant remember the name of the movie but it was a well taken.

It touched upon the subject of adultery and how a woman leaves her family for a lover and her husband ends up killing the lover and the wife kills the husband for that.
Worse part is she frames her 12 year old son by saying he killed the father.

So the boy becomes the ultimate psycho.

I was thinking wow something new for Mother's day eve but next day for Mother's day Mannan movie was shown again.
