The Executives are expected to meet the practising doctors and explain to them
the composition of the products, how do they act on the patients, indications for
which the products can be used etc. They are expected to seek the support of
the doctors and request them to prescribe their products to the patients. This
is a highly competitive market in India.

i think we used to call them medical representatives in my time. basically salesmen, peddling their wares. good remuneration for foreign companies. doctors used to look forward to the free samples, sometimes sold for cash

i do not understand the 'executive' part of their title. i guess fancy titles make up for the job hardship.
