will you be able to sponsor one from india. not sure of the tambram population of london, and it being a big city, it might be worthwhile to get a house living nanny, provided uk immigration lets you do it.

you could ofcourse seek one on the basis of religious restrictions ... and they might issue a work visa for an enterprising lady wishing to some part of the world for a year or so.

i am saying this, because in canada, we have scandinavian and english girs, young and out of the university, taking up nanny jobs, more from a sense of adventure, eager to travel and a year off from the inevitable return to reality.

best wishes in your search. but be careful whom you landed up with and vet the candidate out thoroughly. you are entrusting your most valuable possession in the hands of a stranger.
